Stay healthy in the office with these 5 ways to stay sniffle-free
- Steer clear
Watch for co-workers who are coughing and sneezing. It’s a sign their contagious and a good reason to stay away!
- Drink Tea
Drinking tea or a hot lemon & honey stimulates the cilia- the hair follicles in the nose—to move out germs more efficiently. Lemon thins mucus, and honey is antibacterial which is great for healing too.
- Avoid the Hot Spots
Coffee pots. Door handles. Elevator buttons. Bacteria and viruses can live on surfaces for hours, so try to avoid contact or wash your hands straight after.
- Wash Your Hands
Whilst hand sanitiser kills bacteria, it doesn’t kill viruses. Alcohol-based sanitizers are more effective, but nothing beats good ol’ hand washing.
- Sleep and Eat Well
Getting seven or more hours of sleep every night and eating a well-balanced diet gives your body the fuel and rest it needs.
